Squirting colostrum?
I'm 8 months preggo, with child number 2. And during this pregnancy, i noticed that i can actually squirt out colostrum...like a stream. I tried to breastfeed my first, but didnt really produce enough milk. Does this mean i can produce more milk with this pregnancy? Has anyone experienced this before?

- Yes, you keep those nipple pads handy, you will need them. Just thinking about breastfeeding makes you drain and you will definitely be ready to breastfeed this child and others that you might have later on. Congratulations!
- I had the same experience and from talking with my friends, this doesn't happen to everyone. I had an extremely easy time breastfeeding and supply has never been an issue. Not sure if this is always the case, but it can't be a bad sign!
- It is not uncommon to leak colostrum during the end of pregnancy. You should be able to produce enough milk for your baby. If you have had previos problems I would recommend renting a hospital grade pump and start pumping as soon as the baby comes. These pumps are usually available in the hospital and can be rented once you are released... These are by far the best way to increase milk production. Use it between feedings and store the milk. You can freeze it if you are not going to use it right away.
