Has any one else experienced colostrum at 13 weeks?
I am 13 weeks and I now have dried colostrom and it grosses me out. It looks like sleep on my nipples. I thought that doesn't happen until later in pregnancy.

- It's different for different women. Some leak early, many leak in the third trimester and some never leak at all. Anything is normal and really means nothing about your milk supply after the birth. Get some breast pads to wear in you bra from on to protect your clothing. Think about what amazing nutrients and immunities are in that stuff and then maybe it won't gross you out. Colostrum is like liquid gold!
- Welcome to motherhood honey! I had colostrum from the beginning with my first. Just because the books say you will do it at a certain time, that means squat! Your body will do things that you thought would be impossible. If it is enough to wet your bra, you can buy nursing pads to keep you from leaking all over the place, you will eventually need them. Personally, I use the Curity brand in the pink box. You might want to consider breastfeeding your baby. That is a very good sign that you should a good milk supply. Good luck!
- The only way my wife knew she was pregnant for sure was when she started leaking. The previous two people that answered gave you the best advice you can have. Get nursing pads. There is another item you could consider. If your leaking that much, maybe making a donation to the local milk bank would be of benefit to you. They will be happy to accept it. That is what my wife did until the kiddies were born.
- I had that late in pregnancy, but you have to remember that everyone is different. It's totally normal. Wear nursing pads if it gets really bad. It sure beats having big wet spots on your shirt.
