are pregnancy tests always correct?

no periods for 6 months and breast enlargement with colostrum present, some swelling in stomach and slight wt. gain. older type ultrasound showed enlarged uterus yet all pegnancy tests have come out neg. Is it possible to be pregnant even when the tests are neg.? How can i find out for sure what is happening? the doctors charge so much and i feel i need a pelvic and/or another more advanced ultrasound. Any advice?

  1. Who did the ultrasound? A doctor? A doctor would notice a baby in there. Go to a doctor.
  2. I think you could be pregnant and you NEED to go to the doctor to get proper care if you are pregnant! Good Luck!!
  3. OTC pregnancy tests are not always as accurate as they claim. Even doctors doing a blood test can make mistakes. I'd suggest getting more advnaced tests, even though they are pretty expensive. Even if you aren't pregnant, those symptoms could be a sign of something more serious like cancer.
  4. its possible to think your pregnant and not be, but thats usually possible if you want to be. if its be 6 months why the heck didnt you try to save money and get an appt, its not good if you are and not have some type of prenatal care you know.
  5. 6 months - omg- you should have went to a real doctor a long time ago...go in the morning ...if you cant afford - go to emergency room...
  6. sweety you need to see a doctor. tubal pregnancies can give you all the signs of being pregnant and give a neg. test. this is a very serious matter. please seek a clinic in your area. tomorrow!
  7. Home prenancy kits are not always accurate. You say you have colustrum present...are you SURE this is colostrum? I would be hightailing my butt to the doctor, cause I honestly think you are pregnant and the only way to know for sure is a blood serum pregnancy test.
  8. My wife took like 4 and all neg. Now we have a 16 month old.
  9. If your talking about at home pregnancy tests than yes they can come back negative and you still be pregnant. You need to go and see your doctor tommorrow. If you can't afford that go to the emergency room. You need to be seen by some health professional because you could also have a tubal pregnancy and that is fatal. So please go and see a doctor as soon as possible. Good Luck.
  10. if there is a planned parenthood in your city, try there, they are very affordable and some services are free
  11. You need to get to a doctor to make sure what is going on.
