colostrum- neg test---Could I be Pregnant?

I have been on the mirena for 3 years now. I also have a 3 year old son. My breasts have been hurting alot over the last couple of weeks, as well as changes in mood/sleep/appetite. I saw tonight that my left breasts is producing colostrum. This has never happened at all since after getting a shot to dry my breast milk up after i had my son... I took a pregnancy test tonight...though it was kind of a forced pee and there wasnt much. It said not pregnant. Is it possible that I really am pregnant and that the test just didnt notice the hormones in my urine?? What else would cause all of this? Could the mirena make the test say no?? also, my nipples have been hurting pretty bad to. I took another test this morning and it also said no. The substance is sort of clear with a little tuny bit of yellowish color. Its also sticky. What else could ths be?

  1. There is a possibility of the test being wrong. The best time to take a pregnancy test is first thing after you wake up. The hormone levels are higher in your first urine of the day. If you look at the directions on the pregnancy test it will actually say that. I would say first off, take another test. If that comes out negative, make yourself an appointment with the doctor. It might be too early to tell if you're pregnant, or you might just have something else going on that a doctor can help you figure out.
