milk/colostrum question?

Ok this is my second baby, although the first was over four years ago. I never got colostrum or milk before she was born and een then we had to supplement for a little over a week because I wasnt getting any to come in, well I am now in my 32nd week and last night (sorry if tmi although i doubt on a pregnancy website there is ever really tmi) my hubby was getting a bit frisky and grabbed my breast, not hard or anything at all (trust me they are tender i would tell him) and milk, white milk, shot out at his face, I laughed of course... now I had colostrum early this time, the golden yellow sort of clear discharge, but MILK already, it isnt clear it is an off white and watery but not colostrum, i have had preterm labor, contractions with dilation, had to be iven trebutaline? please tell me this is NOT a sign of labor in the next few weeks, also she had dropped tremendously in the past week, i now have 4 inches between my breasts and my baby bump. hahah good to know... It just came up so fast and squirted literally 3 feet... Thanks ladies!

  1. Normal. The colostrom will come when the baby does. This is a fine example that your breasts are ready to go! But you really should call your doc and let him/her know because you have had other issues going on as well. I know your hubby is going to hate this, but the doc may tell you that he isn't allowed to touch! As playing with the breasts (and sex of course) can trigger labor. Good luck and call your doc
  2. I didn't get milk with my 1st until 4 days after she was born. I'm 28 weeks with #2 and no signs of milk yet. I wish I had 4 inches in between my breasts and the top of my uterus. My baby is kicking me all the time high up in the ribs right where my bra is. Try not to stimulate your milk or nipples since that can cause preterm labor as well as orgasms. You might need to stop being "frisky" until baby is born. Good luck!
  3. I had the colostrum about the 34th week and it is perfectly normal. Same thing with me; didn't with the first baby. But it doesn't mean you will go into labor early. It's definitely not milk; the milk doesn't come in until after the baby. Even though my colostrum came in while I was still pregnant, my milk didn't come in until 6 days after I had him.
  4. Hi I wouldn't be too worried I had a similar experience to yours and I laughed so hard it was unbelievable and had a healthy baby born one day before his due date and i was 33 weeks when it happened!
  5. completely normal...body is just prepping for baby's arrival
  6. It's normal.
  7. I produce colostrum, and have been since around 23 weeks pregnant. It was first discovered one night while laying in bed with my husband... I just kept feeling this trickling sensation, and we finally turned the lights on b/c I couldn't take it, and my arm, stomach, the side of his stomach - COVERED. We were both very stunned. Now it's a regular occurrence. Almost every night.
