Colostrum leaking?
During pregnancy, i have heard of colostrum leakage. but aroung how many weeks does this usually happen? and what does it look like? i noticed that my nipples are white, they are not dry. but i havent even been confirmed pregnant yet. I have been suspected that i am pregnant for a couple of weeks, and i was going to test this weekend, but i wanted to know if this was common so early on.

- For those that do leak colostrum, it happens in the second or third trimester. I began leaking in my 19th week or so. It looks creamy and clear to light yellowish. "During the early days of breastfeeding, your baby will enjoy a creamy, high-protein, low-fat substance called colostrum. You may have leaked a few drops of this thick, yellowish substance during the final weeks of your pregnancy (some women have this happen during their second trimester). This "first milk" is produced as the cells in the center of the alveoli dissolve and flow through the milk ducts and out the nipple. The precious, easily digestible liquid is chock-full of disease-fighting antibodies called immunoglobulins that strengthen your baby's immune system." -http://www.babycenter.com/0_making-breast-milk-how-your-body-produces-natures-perfect-ba_8785.bc Take care!
