Colostrum Powder

Pregnant? Pregnancy test negative?

I have a son, he's two and last time he breastfed was in July of last year. I was on the depo shot for nine months, I've been off of it for about a month now, and this morning I noticed there was some colostrum fluid in my breasts. I took a pregnancy test but it came out negative... is it possible I took it too soon? Any advice? What do you guys think?

2. well you should take a home pregnancy test once you miss your period. when is your period due? there is some tests out there that can detect pregnancy 3-5days before your missed period. try one of those when you get close to your period.

4. I still had signs of white (dont know if it's colustrum though) coming out of my nipples after I stopped bfing for a good few months. I even had spots of white after bfing my daughter, and even now while pregnant. That never went away for me. How late are you for a period though? Normally, home tests are very accurate, unless taken too early, or taken incorrectly. If you are still unsure, test again in a few days, and with the first morning urine.

6. It is 5 days until my period and I have nausia, cramps, bloating, increased sence of smell. . . so maybe we're both pregnant. I've never heard of anyone having breast leakage without some type of medical reason behind it, like mine, or in cases of pregnancy. Since you are not pregnant, be sure to get to a Dr. and have your blood drawn to check your prolactin levels. It's very important that you do if you are not pregnant.
7. Sounds like its probably just hormones. The depo shot can take up to a year to get out of your system so maybe if you still have the colostrum in about a week or so schedule a doctors appointment.
8. it could be that you have tested to early, clear blue digital test normally can tell if your pregnant up to 4 days before yor period is due!. as for the colostrum i have never had this in any of my previous 5 pregnancys till 23 weeks at least so thinking this might be more of a hormone issue i would speak to a doctor to put your mind at ease. hope this helps kelly
