  1. the doctor is call immunologist
  2. You can go to your family physician and they can order a simple blood test.
  3. The kind of Dr. you would see is called an immunologist. What you need is a simple blood test to see if your immune system is functioning properly. If you want total anominity you can go to your local health department and tell them you suspect you immune system is not functioning properly, could they please check? For a small fee or no fee they will do it.
  4. You can just go see your regular doctor for this. A white blood cell count will tell you if the amount of white blood cells is adequate. You can get an HIV test. Otherwise, you would be wasting much of your time and money (as your insurance if you have it would not be paying for any other special tests such as flow cytometry, etc) without a clear disease or reason for the tests other than your curiosity. An immunologist is not needed. An allergist/immunologist is great to see if you have problems with allergies or have an immune-system deficiency disease of a non-infectious or cancerous nature. If you have an infection related immune disorder (ie. AIDS) you will either be following up with your regular physician or an infectious disease specialist. If you have leukemia, you will be following up with a hematologist/oncologist.
