why is the sperm cell considered an enemy to the female immune system?

Why is the sperm cell considered an enemy to the female immune system? and how does the sperm avoid destruction? I need these answers for a research for school, but i can't seem to find them online!

I would appreciate, but probably not deserve it if i got best answer because i am not really qualified, but I believe it is because it can carry a disease that won't be detected by the immune system because it does not prevent diseases from entering that way as well as it does other ways. Also, very dangerous diseases can be transmitted through sperm (std/sexually transmitted diseases).
