What are my chances of prem labour?

I'm 34weeks. My stomach has dropped, I've been having Braxton Hicks on and off this week, and I'm producing colostrum. During my last pregnancy, my waters broke at 36weeks & labour was induced. I never had any of the above symptoms last time. Is it likely that this one is coming early too? How far away do you think it is? My daughter at 36weeks 6lb2, was perfectly healthy and needed no medical intervention.

  1. Probably about a week sorry to say...just be prepared...
  2. sure my siblings and i were all born @ 28 weeks!
  3. My belly dropped around that time too. I had him 4 days before his due date.
  4. I don't know. Maybe you are. If you are exposed to second hand smoke, it could cause it.
  5. Sometimes when you have other baby early then you follow this pattern. If your dropped it probably won't be too long now I'd suggest you pack your bags. YOur big day is about here.
  6. have ya been to docs poor you hun is it a girl cuz for some reason girls survive more than boys premiture my cousin had two boys she lost them both premiture soo to pregnacys she went through then she finaly got pregnant with a girl and it was premiture and survived! and she soo cute white blonde hair blue eyes
  7. I am 35 weeks pregnant and have had braxton hicks contractions for over a month now and have been 2 cm dialated for about 3 weeks and also dropped that long ago (at 32 weeks). You may or may not go into preterm labor...I thinkeveryone is different. I had my son at 34 weeks so they have been watching this pregnancy closely for preterm labor as well.
  8. You're prolly pretty close. Be on the look out for that strong nesting urge. Also call your doctor tomorrow and let them know. They may want you to try and keep you from going into preterm labor via meds, monitoring, and/or bed rest. Good Luck!
  9. about a week or more I've been dropped since about 32 or 33 weeks and im 37 1/2 weeks now.. I am so freakin ready...you may end up having this one early they say often pregnancy's follow each other good luck and i hope its not too soon don't 4get to mention it to your doctor
  10. I don't think anyone ever really knows when a baby will come. Last week, I thought for sure I was in labor. Contractions coming every 4 minutes, and I'd lost my mucous plug. I got to the hospital and within 4 hours, my contractions fizzled. I left, dilated to 3 and 75% effaced. I am now 39 weeks and still hanging in there! I have been able for about 4 weeks now to express colostrum from my breasts, and I dropped about 2 weeks ago. I waddle everywhere like a fat duck and feel as though the baby's head is just going to pop out at any given moment. I literally have to roll out of bed in the morning! Lol!This also is my second pregnancy. However, I was 10 days overdue with my first. I think every pregnancy and every woman is different. Just prepare yourself, knowing that it could come at anytime, or you might get lucky and go full term this time. I know the anxiety of it is killer (believe me, I'm TOTALLY ready!) but the end result is always worth it. Good luck!
