Does your immune system go into shock when you are trying to receive the sperm cell?
Im writing my thesis and need to know whether there is a halting of the woman's immune system in order to not reject the sperm and get pregnant. Also if your body goes into shock does that mean there is a reconstruction period?

- Yes, sometimes receiving sperm is a shock....wait, that's not what you're referring to ;)
- why would the human body reject the human sperm..... reproduction would be a sad state of affairs if this was the case surely That is like saying the mouth immune system goes into shock when you put food in your mouth .... the sperm surely cant be considered a foreign body... what about the sperm of someone with infection or disease? This is just my opinion.. I just dont get the q? ...
- i dont know about the halting during conception, as i have never heard that before, however i do know that sperm is viewed as an invader and has adapted for that reason, so it doesnt seem logical to me. also i know that a womans immune system merely weakens, as opposed to halts, during pregnancy term to ensure that her body doesnt reject the fetus...so she will get sick easier ect.
