Will exposing myself to the cold improve my immune system in the long run?

My recently found job involves me spending long times in the bitter cold and rain (not an unsusual thing living in the uk) but i was wondering if this will strengthen my immune system and make me less likely of getting the cold and flu and other bad stuff in the future? Also what vitamins are best for keeping me in good working order?

  1. yes. allowing ur body to fight of the virus will make ur immune system stronger. its kind of like "practice" for ur immune system i guess u would say. lol. just take reg vitamins, drink lotsa oj and stay hydrated.
  2. At first it will zap the energy out of your system all together. Hot or cold climates take all your energy away at first. After a week your blood will thicken making you more resistant to the cold. But your immune system will be just as fragile. Take care of it and it will take of you.
