What food should I give my baby to strengthen his immune system?
My 9 months old gets sick a lot. He almost always has the flu and his pediatric keeps prescribing him antibiotic and sometimes antibiotic injection when he is really sick with throat infection, and cough. Are there any kinds of food that can help strengthen his immune system so he doesnt get sick that much. I'm very clean with him and I make sure everything is sanitized, yet he gets sick too much.

- maybe your being to over protective that everything is clean and sanitized.
- I'm not saying this as an attack on you or anything, just in general. I think with everyone these days going germ crazy and sanitizing everything they can possibly sanitize is creating the problem. They're bodies aren't exposed to germs on a regular basis so they can't build up immunities for it. Which causes them to be sick constantly. With my children, the only time I've really ever sanitized was when I first bought a bottle or paci, after that it was fine. Even now when his paci drops on the floor, I pick it up, put it in my mouth and then back into his. He's now 8.5 months and has only had a cold once when he was first born.
- If you sanitize your own home so much - your kid isn't used to germs and has no natural immunities. So when you go out of your house, he's going to get sick every time. Let him eat some dirt every now and then - he'll be better off :)
