Has anyone heard of taking bovine colostrum to get rid of illness?

1. Yes it is a crock. A person in my area tried to do this, and he was eventually arrested for fraud.
2. I have had it in when I was a kid around 9-10 years ago, but not really in the form of medicine. rather as a delicacy.
